Well, we had a busy weekend in the Hicks household. We spent the weekend enjoying family time together at the ball field. I hope you enjoyed this gorgeous fall weekend with your families too. As our school week begins, we will really be gearing up to be great examples of leaders as we start having many visitors around the school to show off our Seven Habits Process. Don't forget, this Wednesday is our first "DRESS FOR SUCCESS" day. Mystery Word: Success. We will have visitors from Bryant Elementary in the building. Ms. Chesser has asked that we use this as our first practice for our Leadership Day in January. Please make sure your child is dressed their best on Wednesday (NO jeans, please). We do have PE that day so please send a change of shoes. I will be sending home a flyer to remind everyone on Monday because the kid's don't have school on Tuesday due to Election Day.
Veteran's Day is also this upcoming week. A flyer was sent home last week about a Veteran's Wall that we are doing as tribute here at Pickett's Mill. If you have any family or friends (or yourselves) that you'd like to honor who served or are currently serving in our military please get their pictures and information sent in to get on the wall. If you've misplaced the form, there are extras on a table just inside the front doors of the school next to the box where the kids turn in the completed ones to get on the wall.
