Hope you all had a wonderful Winter Break. Here is a look at this week's curriculum highlights: February 28th – March 4th
Language Arts skills: identify ways to take notes on nonfiction books. We will answer the question “How can I remember what I read?”
Books:
Hi-De-Hi (fiction)
We will read many books written by Dr. Seuss!
Phonics Focus: Uu letter/sound association; short and long sound. Review ou as in round; short o and short u.
Sight Words: find, out
Handwriting: Uu
Writer’s Workshop: We will continue to work with spelling our sight words correctly, as well as using correct capitalization, punctuation, and sounding out our words. We will be responding to literature that we read and adding details to our writing.
Math: Measurement: heavy and light
Science: Dental Health and Germs
Social Studies: President Day, author study, and National Symbols
Homework packets for February 28 through March 4 will be sent home.
