Welcome to kindergarten at Pickett's Mill Elementary! I am so happy and privileged to be your child's teacher. I am looking forward to an unbelievable year of learning and fun with your child. This will be my 11th year teaching kindergarten in Cobb County and my third year at Pickett's Mill. I began my teaching career in Texas, where I accumulated 15 years of teaching experience from pre-kindergarten to first grade.
I have been married for 29 years to my husband, Wally, who is executive pastor at Cedarcrest Church.
I have a son, Byron, 24 years old, who graduated from Furman University and is living and working in Greenville, SC. He is getting married to Allison in Greenville on August 7th!
My daughter, Courtney, is 20 and beginning her junior year at UGA! GO DAWGS!
I enjoy reading and spending time in the great outdoors. I love hiking, biking, birdwatching, and especially gardening.
I am looking forward to getting to know another wonderful group of children this year and helping them to grow and learn! I am excited to meet all of my new students and parents at Sneak-a-Peek. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
