Another week bites the dust........... The children have been working so hard this past week getting caught up on many projects that we had looming over our heads. I have been so proud of their dedication and knowledge that what we were doing is important. On Friday, we had a visit from one of my past students to read to us and share what some of the differences between second and third grade have been. I plan on doing lots of this over the next several months so that they can truly see that I'm not pushing them to be mean, but rather gear them up to be successful leaders in third grade.
Don't forget that we will be doing our classroom Valentine exchange on Wednesday rather than Tuesday so that all students may participate in the "fun". Our fabulous room mom is taking care of bringing in a special snack for the afternoon. Mystery Word: Valentine. I sent home a class list with the kids two weeks ago and then emailed you the addition of our newest friend last week. We have a total of 23 students and 2 teachers in the room currently.
Have a great weekend. Try to stay warm. Last I heard it was supposed to get pretty nasty outside for a few days.
