Fire Lane Warnings

Boy bus
Fire Lane Warning

We had a visit from the Public Safety Officer who checks on fire lanes at the schools. He wrote a few warning tickets to parents who were cued up in the car pool line prior to 1:40pm. He informed us that the car pool line should not begin before 1:40pm and should not last beyond 2:40pm. He stated that many tickets have been written at other schools and they can charge fees up to $100.00.

Our fire safety field trip is on April 16th. The children will be very active all day, so please remember to dress your child in shorts or pants, make sure they are wearing tennis shoes and if you have a girl she needs to wear her hair down. Also remember if you have chosen to send a lunch with your child that you pack
it in a disposable bag so everything can be disposed of after they eat.For more information about the Fire Safety Village, visit http://www.cobbcountyga.gov/safetyvillage/

Student Registration Envelopes

Girl with chick
I bet you are looking for your child's registration envelope for next year! Well, they didn't manage to make it home today, but I promise they will be there tomorrow. When you get them, please go through the sheet and make any corrections that are needed to BOTH sides of the paper and then sign at the bottom. The sheets are due back to Pickett's Mill by Thursday, March 29th. Thanks for your help!

Eggcellently Fashioned Eggs

Egg

What is this crazy project about? Learning about writing math story problems, writing an adventure story, being creative & having fun!
When is it due? It will be turned in a little at a time as homework each day. Your child's agenda will reflect when each part is due. The children will have time to work on their rough drafts in class, and as homework will finish up their task at home.
What is homework next week? Only the "EGGWORK"! Your child will not have any other homework, and there will be NO spelling test either.
Hopefully this will be a really fun, educational project for the kids to complete before Spring Break!

Beauty and the Beast

Beast_logo
Allatoona High School will be here on March 28th to do a short performance from Beauty and the Beast! They are coming here to help them prepare for their big performances on April 13, 14, and 15. Please consider going to one of the shows, it's going to be GREAT!
