Testing Reminder
We had a busy week of CogAT testing and I have to say the children did quite well with the schedule changes. Don't forget that we have testing again next week with the ITBS given all five days. Make sure to eat a healthy breakfast and get plenty of rest every day! Below is our testing schedule.
Monday (70 minutes total)
- Reading Vocabulary
- Reading Part 1
- Reading Part 2
Tuesday (66 minutes total)
- Spelling
- Capitalization
- Punctuation
- Usage and Expression
Wednesday (75 minutes total)
- Math Concepts and estimation
- Math problem solving
- Math computation
Thursday (60 minutes)
- Social Studies
- Science
Friday (55 minutes)
- Maps and Diagrams
- Reference Materials
Homework is a little different because of testing. Your child will need to complete the Health project and return it on Friday ready to share.
Open House Thank You!
It was good to see and talk to so many of you at Open House! I truly appreciate your time! Communication and working together is the KEY for a successful year! If you were unable to make it please look for the information packet that was covered in the meeting home in your child's PIRATE binder. Please email me with any questions or concerns you may have.
Weekly homework packet should be in your child's HOMEWORK pocket of the PIRATE binder. Also, remember to read every day and record it on your reading log.
