Student Checkout

The Media Center is open to students for check out, individual or group research, and whole class activities from 7:15-2:30 daily.

Students must return to their classroom when the 7:45 morning bell rings to watch the Pirate Broadcast Station morning news program.

All students must bring their media center key pass on each visit in order to check out books and use the computers.

Kindergarten students may check out one book. Students in grades one through five may check out two books.

All books and magazines can be checked out for 2 weeks. Books may be renewed for one additional two-week period. Magazines are not renewable.

Students may place a reserve on any book title. The reserved book will be held for the student once it is returned. Students should check the circulation desk to see if their reserved book is waiting.

An overdue list is distributed to teachers at the end of each month. Students should make every effort to return media materials on time.

Students are responsible for reimbursing the school for books that are lost or damaged beyond use. A lost or damaged bill will be printed and sent home with the student. Please see Mrs. Fletcher if there are any extenuating circumstances

Students with one lost or overdue book will be able to checkout a second book.
