Middle School Transition Information for Parents

For fifth graders who will be attending Durham Middle School next year, these are the dates for important transition information. Please mark these dates in your calendars.

 

2011-2012 Articulation Dates for Pickett’s Mill 5th Grade Students

  

May 17, 18 * – (Thursday, Friday) - Healthwise Presentation at Pickett’s Mill – Program on growth and development will be presented separately to 5th grade boys and girls. Permission required and materials will be available in the Media Center for parent preview on Tuesday, April 24th and again on Wednesday, April 25th. * Please note these are new dates.

 

May 3 – (Thursday) Pickett's Mill Shadow Day at Durham –A boy and girl from each class are selected to spend the day at Durham– permission required and parents must provide transportation. Details will come at a later date for those students selected for Shadow Day.

 

May 3 – (Thursday) Parent information meeting at Durham Theater - 6:30 pm. Information about middle school will be provided.

 

May 11 - (Friday) Durham Tour for Pickett's Mill students - 9:30-10:45. Field trip permission is required.
