Today we used our convergent, divergent and evaluative thinking skills while in our forensic centers. A big thanks to Mrs. Towery for heading up the "brown" stain station; Mrs. Helligrath for heading up the "smells" station; Mrs. Teren for heading up the "cola" station; Mrs. Oliveros for heading up the "threads" station and Mrs. Benefield for heading up the fingerprint station. It would not have been as succesful without your help! We have five more stations next week as we wrap up our mystery crime scene. We still could use two more helper parents. If you are interested email me.
Relationships and Connections: We almost have completed our Chasing Vermeer book. We only have 2-3 pages left. We will have our last vocab quiz next week.
Self Reflection: Journals/Goals-Please use your journal to write a goal that you can accomplish for next week's Target class.
Self Directed Learner: Think about our stations from earlier today. Which station gave the best information in helping solve some of the mystery items in the crime scene? Please support your answer with 3-5 well written sentences.
Respect for Others: You show this when working with your detective teams.
Don't forget: Check blog; TT; book
It was great to see you this week!
I think the smell station was the best for that. The towel and smell made a lot of clues. It was also easy for memory because it smelled good.

The smell station helped me the most. Because we talked a lot about the towel. We talked about why the dog might of followed the suspect.

The staiton that helped me the most was the fingerprint staion. Because, I actually got to see who's prints were on the cups. Also because it gave me an idea on who the criminal was.

The station that helped me the most was the cola station. I learned that soda can be an acid or a base. The testing of the sodas was fun to watch. I thought it was strange that Felix had a soda with no acid because all sodas have acid. We did not go over what happens when you drink a soda with a base. I hope that we can figure that out.

The one that told me the most was the ph station. It showed Felix had something in his drink. Alfredo had the same as normal coke.

The coke station gave me the best information. It gave me the best information because it told me how Felix died. Now all we have to find out is who killed Felix.

Hi my name is ?????. The station that helped me the most was the cola station. The reason the cola station helped me the most was because it told me how Felix might've died. It also helped because I thought cola was a basic. P.S. you only get three guesses to figure out who I am.

The station that helped me the most is the coke test because I can see that Felix's coke is different. It was green and the others were pink. I think that something was put in his coke.

I think the smelling station helped me the most. It was the smelling station because it helped me figure out who was lying about being in the bathroom. The perfume and the towel made a BIG connection.

The station that helped me the most was the coke station. It helped me because then we knew that something was wrong with Felix's drink. This mystery unit is very interesting.

The center that helped me learn about the crime scene was the "smells" station. I now know Gene's scent is on the towel but Kendra Goode's initials is on it too. This center helped because it lead me to the thought that someone else put Gene's smell on the towel and made the dog do something it wasn't supposed to.

Hi it's JacksonF.
I think the station where you put strips in a coke cup was best. I think it matters very much beacause maybe Felix's cup is poison. Also, I think that cup might of been the thing that killed Felix.
Bye!!!

I think the cola station helped me the most. That tells you something was put in Felix's drink. All of the stations were very fun.
