DIVERGENT: Build
EVALUATIVE: Build
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONNECTIONS: Majestic Connections was a let down today. Most of you did not follow directions even after you had an extra week to work on it. This was a big disappointment to me.
SELF REFLECTION: Journals/Goals-Are you being a good direction follower? How did you do on your If I Were a Bridge...part 2? How about your Majestic Connections? Remember to write a new short term goal and be sure your long term goal of "following directions better" is a goal you practice!
SELF DIRECTED LEARNER: Test was today. Overall average of the class was 87. We had 7-A's; 6-B's; 2-C's and 1-D. You had over three weeks to study. Thanks to all of you who worked so hard! Please get your test signed regardless of your grade! Your parents will want to know how you did.
RESPECT FOR OTHERS: Building the bridge as a team requires you to show respect at all times
DON'T FORGET: TT; book; and check blog. Blog Response: Think about all of your target units. Some of you have many to choose from. Your response is to choose your favorite unit and justify why. You can choose any that you have participated in from 1st-4th grade, even if you were in a different teacher's class. Happy blogging!
Next week is our end of the unit celebration. Thanks Mrs. Flynn for organizing something special for our group! We will have our bridge competition at 10:30 AM. ALL are invited to attend and view the fabulous bridge competition.
Dear Mrs. Mitchell,
My favorite unit is the SNAKE unit. I liked it because when we had to do are projects I got the rainbow snake and I got to learn a lot about it. I also liked it because someone brought in a snake and it slithered om my arm.

My favorite unit was the heart unit.
I liked it because I think that learning about somehting that you have inside your body is cool. I also think it's cool how we made the xyphoid heart. It was also neat how we learned the heart's blood flow.

I think my favorite unit was bridge building. It is my favorite because I never knew that there were so many types of bridges. Another reason is that I think it's pretty fun building a bridge. That is my blog response!

Dear Mrs. Mitchell,
In 1st grade I loved the Cinderella unit because I got to listen to different stories about Cinderella. I also got to learn why Cinderella is called Cinderella(because she slept by the fire place and had ashes all over her face.) Also, I got to learn about Cinderella's life and how she was a slave to her step-mom. Thats my blog response.

Dear Mrs. Mitchell,
My favorite unit we studied so far was the heart unit. I thought it was the best unit because it is actually in our body and we could see how the blood flow really works. That is what my favorite unit is (and a reason why I liked it.)

Dear Mrs. Mitchell,
My favorite target unit was when we learned about the heart. I liked this unit because I got to learn about why it is important to have a heart. Without a heart your blood will not circulate through your body and you will die. That is why the heart was my favorite unit.

My favorite unit was the heart because it was gross but it was awesome. What I liked about the heart unit is all the body parts of the heart because it was really interesting. Lastly, the thing I liked about the heart is that you can get a lot of diseases from it.

I loved the bat unit because it was a unit where we got to learn a lot of awesome stuff. Also, I got to build my very own bat house! Plus, I loved the book 'Silverwing". It was an EPIC book that kept me on the edge of my seat at every page.

My two favorite are the bridge builing and ancient civilizations. I couldn't decide which one I liked the most. I liked the final project we had to do for each unit. The projects we did were bridge we built a bridge and for ancient civilization we built our own civilization.

Dear Mrs. Mitchell,
My favorite unit was the heart. That is my favorite unit because I thought it was fascinating about how the heart works. Also I thought that the blood cycle was fascinating. I’ve even memorized the blood cycle of the heart. That was my favorite unit.

My favorite unit was fairy tales but we just learned about Cinderella so I called it the Cinderella unit. I liked that unit because it was the unit that everybody laughed about and even the people in Target laughed at it too. My favorite part about the unit was everything and the people in Target also got wands made out of a pixie stick and a paper star so we could brag about how great Mrs. Mitchell is. I got to meet people in other classes that I probably would never see until next year and I got to see Mrs. Mitchell one day a week but the main reason I like target is we get to do fun brain teasers and we never have to do anything that involves writing stories except on essays.
