I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1963. At the age of 5, I moved to Kingston, Ontario Canada and was raised there until I finished University. As a child I lived in a house on Lake Ontario, and in my teens I was a competitive water-skier in Canada. As a result of my competitive water-ski experience, I attained a position as a professional water-skier in a show at Callaway Gardens, in Pine Mountain, Georgia. I met my wife Linda, who was from South Georgia there at the show. She was also a skier. We were married in the chapel at Callaway Gardens in 1988 and we both began our teaching careers shortly after. I taught physical education and coached football, track and cross-country for a few years in Waycross, Georgia.
We moved to Powder Springs over 28 years ago and since then I have taught physical education at Powder Springs Elementary for 12 years, Bullard Elementary for 5 years and now beginning my 9th year at Pickett's Mill Elementary. I also spent several years as a soccer coach at McEachern High School in the 1990's. I have previously coached lacrosse for West Cobb Lacroose, Allatoona Lacrosse, and the Hillgrove Hawks program at the Junior level for the past several years. I work in the summer as a Scorer/Trainer at the Pearson Assessment Center for the National Board of Professional Teachers and I also create educational resources with my company Cap'n Pete's Power PE.
I have a beautiful wife, Linda who is a school counselor in Cobb County, and three great children, two girls, Camille (24) and Kirsten (21) and 1 boy, Joseph ( 16). We love to travel and play.
