Recently we received an email reminding us that teachers of MOID/SID/PID classrooms are expected to be using unit based instruction and symbol supports throughout the school day. Alignment to GPS is an expectation throughout the year, not just for GAA evidence. On Feb. 16, elementary and middle school teachers participated in an inservice exploring how to develop unit based instruction and examples of ways to integrate AT within that structure.
This powerpoint provides a background for using literacy based unit instruction, examples, and step by step process. There is also a collection of photos from classrooms with examples of interactive visual schedules. Download Feb 16
